Among journalists whom we know in Indonesia, there are some who ever got this formal education, but there also many journalists who never got it at all. Although there is no formal education, a journalist has to know the function of his main duty as a journalist, that is as universe known as:
(1) Extend information.
(2) Give education.
(3) Give entertainment.
In order to be able to do his or her duty, a journalist is required to be able to fulfill certain requirements: first: having intelligence; second: always having aware attitude; third: having high curiosity; forth: paying attention to society; fifth: open-minded; sixth: having sensitivity of injustice; and seventh: being brave to have different opinion with authority parties.
Besides, it is certainly that a journalist has to be able to anticipate possible risks that have to be carried on his or her shoulders when doing his or her obligation.
